A paint enhancement is a quick, light polish. The purpose is to boost gloss and clarity, but not necessarily to remove scratches. The enhancement takes around 2 hours.

A singe stage paint correction will remove more defects than the enhancement. We move the machine slower, use a heavier cutting product, and spend 3-4 hours on the service.

A two stage paint correction uses a heavy cut compound and a more aggressive polishing pad to cut through even more defects, but this leaves a hazy finish because of the heavier “grit” used. The second stage is a fine polish to remove the holograms left behind from the first stage. The result is an extremely deep, mirror finish with up to 95% of defects removed.

Short answer: no

Long answer: You want your vehicle protected during the rainy season, not after. Rain is slightly acidic and make a mess on the roads, leaving your car covered in traffic film that will dull your finish and be tricky to remove. Ceramic coatings are tricky to install. The coating has to be buffed off at the perfect time - not too soon, not too late - for it to properly bond to the paint. If it’s not done properly your car will be a blotchy, cloudy mess, and the coating can only be removed by heavy compounding and buffing. That service alone could be up to $2,000+. There are many. Waxes and sealants are designed to fill the pores of the clear coat. This leaves you will a smooth finish and increases shine and water beading. The problem is that they don’t last more than 4 months and can be washed off very easily, providing you minimal protection and a lot of unnecessary work.

A ceramic coating does not just fill the pores of your paint, it hardens to create a new, perfectly smooth layer atop the clear coat; yes, ceramic coatings actually add thickness to your paintwork. This coating will not wash off like wax and sealant would. Ceramic coatings offer some resistance to light scratches and swirl marks due to their hardness, but they are not scratch proof. Proper car care is still required to prevent swirl marks.

Machine carwashes are extremely abrasive and dirty. They also use extremely harsh and unforgiving chemicals. This, and the excessive abrasion from the brushes will eventually cause swirl marks and can even remove the coating.

If you get a ceramic coating, it is recommended that you get on our maintenance plan and have us service your vehicle at a discounted rate every 1-3 months.

It is recommended you hand wash the vehicle. You can wash a coated car in about 15 minutes very easily due to the hydrophobic properties.
