The duration varies based on the services rendered and the vehicle's size and condition. On average, it might take around 3-5 hours for an interior/exterior package. More extensive detailing or additional services can extend this timeframe.

Excessive pet hair, dirt, or stains will cause the price to go up, as well as bugs, tar, or heavy exterior dirt/grime. Only a few extreme cases have caused us to raise the price once we see the vehicle in person. 99.99% of the time we will honor the first price you’re quoted, even if its a little messier than expected.

SM Auto Detailing does not clean up any bodily fluids from people or animals. This includes blood, vomit, urine, and excrement. We also do not clean up mold.

There are obvious risks, as well as hours and hours of maintenance required after the detail to sanitize our machines, tools, and also throwing away most things we used during the detail. It is just not worth it for us, but don’t worry, there are a lot of detailers in the area who can help you out.

If you have an interior heavily contaminated with mold or bodily fluids, you should do your best to clean it up yourself as best as possible, and then hire an upholstery cleaner/steamer to do a proper sanitization of your vehicle so that it’s safe for you and your passengers.

We are a Gyeon certified detailer, which means that most of our chemicals are made by them. We use high quality microfiber towels on the interior and exterior, usually from The Rag Company.

Some of the microfibers that will be used on your exterior can cost us up to $5 per towel!

Carwash brushes are extremely abrasive and will cause scratches and swirls in your paint. Next time you ride through the wash just listen to the brushes slapping against your paint, making the entire car shake, and ask yourself if this is really a good thing for your car. It’s not!

The guys at the carwash won’t spend more than a few minutes on your car, which is ok for what you pay for, but sometimes your car needs something a little extra. Contaminants build up in the pores of the clear coat dulling it’s finish. Dirt builds up in the creases of your leather seats and starts wear it down, causing rips and tears, and oil/grime buildup gets stuck in the leather itself causing it to look shiny and unnatural. The list goes on, but none of these things can be solved without a very thorough cleansing using specialized tools and techniques.

It’s typical to get a deep clean twice a year. You can also opt for our maintenance plan, which means you’ll see us every 1-3 months. The maintenance detail is discounted and does not take as long as a normal service.

We use Square for card transactions, and we can also send you an invoice to your email or take cash. An emailed receipt will always be available.

You can have quick and cheap, but low quality, or you can the highest quality but it will take us 4-6 hours and it will cost more than $100. Our average detailing ticket cost is around $250 for interior/exterior. You get what you pay for! So if you want mediocre work for a low price, I get it.
